Terms and Conditions

SUMMIT at Alexandra Palace

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings for SUMMIT at Alexandra Palace (the “Climb”), operated by Wire & Sky Ltd (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By purchasing a ticket (“Ticket”), you agree on behalf of yourself and all participants in your booking (“Climbers”) to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. General

1.1 Tickets are sold subject to these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 A booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from us (including by email).
1.3 We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website and will apply to your booking.

2. Tickets

2.1 A valid Ticket is required for entry. Please check your booking carefully as mistakes cannot always be corrected afterwards.
2.2 Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable except as expressly set out in Section 8.
2.3 Tickets remain our property. We may cancel or refuse entry if a Ticket is misused, resold, or obtained fraudulently.
2.4 We are not responsible for lost or stolen Tickets.

3. Eligibility to Participate

3.1 Minimum requirements:

  • Age:8 years and over.
  • Height: 1.2m minimum.
  • Weight: 130kg maximum (approx. 21 stone / 286 lbs).
  • Harness fit: waist up to 125cm, thighs up to 75cm.

3.2 Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) at a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 4 minors. Proof of age may be required.

4. Health and Safety

4.1 The Climb involves physical exertion and exposure to height. You must be fit enough to complete the activity unaided.

4.2 You cannot take part if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or substances that impair judgment.

4.3 While we aim to be as inclusive as possible, certain conditions may require an individual risk assessment to ensure your safety. Please notify us in advance if you or any minor in your party has:

  • Epilepsy (specifically if you have experienced a seizure within the last 12 months).
  • Heart conditions or fluctuating blood pressure.
  • Conditions affecting balance or severe vertigo.
  • Diabetes (where you may require access to medication/sugar during the 60-minute experience).
  • Recent surgery (major surgery that impacts your physical mobility and / or strength)

Disclosure does not necessarily mean you cannot participate, but it allows our guides to prepare the safest environment for you.

4.4 Pregnancy – SUMMIT is not recommended for pregnant participants. The experience requires the use of a full-body safety harness that must be worn tightly around the waist and thighs. If you are pregnant, please contact us in advance so we can provide technical information regarding the harness to help you and your medical professional determine if participation is safe for you.

4.5 Essential medication (e.g. inhalers, insulin) must be declared in advance and to your Climb Guide on the day. Guides may carry medication securely during the activity.

4.6 No walking aids or unsecured items are permitted on the Climb. Glasses and hearing aids may be worn if secure.

4.7 All participants (and supervising adults for minors) must complete and sign a Declaration & Waiver Form before the Climb.

4.8 If a medical condition that prevents you from climbing is declared before arrival, we will offer to rebook your session or issue a credit.  Refunds are not available for same-day withdrawals.

5. Arrival and Check-In

5.1 You must arrive at the Reception Area at least 15 minutes before the time shown on your Ticket.
5.2 Late arrivals may not be admitted. Refunds or rescheduling will not be provided for missed Climbs.

6. Weather Policy

6.1 Climbs continue in most weather, including rain and moderate wind.
6.2 As the activity is outdoors and at height, you may be exposed to wind, rain, cold, and, in rare cases, lightning.
6.3 If conditions are unsafe, or if weather changes during your Climb, our guides may stop or evacuate the session. If the Summit (Angel) has not been reached, we will rebook you or issue a refund.
6.4 Refunds will not be issued if you choose not to take part when the Climb is still operating.

7. Equipment and Conduct

7.1 We will provide all necessary safety equipment, which must be worn as instructed. Do not remove or tamper with equipment.
7.2 You may only bring the following on the Climb:

  • Securely fitted glasses or hearing aids.
  • Mobile phones (kept secure by a SUMMIT phone pouch and used only at designated points).
  • Declared essential medication.

7.3 Other items (including bags, food, drink, cameras, umbrellas, or loose accessories) must be stored in lockers at the Reception Area, left at your own risk.

7.4 Long hair must be tied back with an elastic band (no clips or pins).

7.5 Smoking, vaping, eating, or drinking are not permitted during the experience.

7.6 You must follow all instructions given by our guides. Disruptive, unsafe, or abusive behaviour may result in removal without refund.

8. Refunds and Rescheduling

8.1 Tickets are non-refundable except in the circumstances outlined in this section.

8.2 Rescheduling is available up to 4 hours before your Climb, subject to availability and fees:

  • £5 per Ticket (with more than 48 hours’ notice).
  • £12 per Ticket (with less than 48 hours’ notice).

8.3 Rescheduled Climbs must take place within 3 months of the original date.

8.4 Refunds will only be given if:

  • We cancel the Climb for safety or operational reasons and cannot offer an alternative.
  • The Venue is closed and rescheduling is not possible.

8.5 Refunds will not be given if:

  • You do not meet eligibility or health requirements.
  • You arrive late or fail to attend.
  • You withdraw on the day of the activity.
  • You choose not to take part due to weather when the Climb is still running.

9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9.2 Participation carries inherent risks associated with height and outdoor activity. By booking, you accept these risks.

9.3 We hold public liability insurance covering our legal responsibilities. This does not cover personal accident, injury, loss of earnings, travel, or cancellation. Participants are strongly advised to take out personal insurance (e.g. adventure activity or extreme sports insurance).

9.4 Except as required by law, our liability is limited to the Ticket price paid. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs arising from cancellations or rescheduling.

9.5 Personal property is brought at your own risk. We accept no liability for items lost, damaged, or left in lockers.

10. Photography and Media

10.1 By taking part in the Climb, you consent to photographs and/or video recordings of yourself and minors under your supervision. These may be used for promotional, advertising, or marketing purposes without compensation.  If you wish to opt out of photography and videography, please email info.summit@wireandsky.co.uk.

10.2 Cameras and recording devices (other than secured mobile phones in a SUMMIT phone pouch) are not permitted.

11. Data Protection

11.1 We will collect and use your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at: [insert venue privacy policy link].

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
